Dena Kohleriter joined the Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers in September 2008. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and received her Masters degree in social work from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1997. She has spent the last decade working with youth in the area of violence prevention. She has directed programs for school settings on the issues of dating violence, bullying prevention, sexual assault and sexual harassment as well as providing individual and family therapy. In 2005, Dena was named Educator of the Year by the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault. Dena is proud to be a part of an agency that is so committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families.

Traci Lee, PhD

Traci is currently the Coordinator of The
Reunion Institute and also serves as a marriage and family therapist
at SCYFC. Traci received her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Sciences
from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1995. She graduated from the University
of San Francisco with her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology
1997 and trained at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto until 1998.
She earned her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Ohio
State University where she worked as both a research and teaching assistant.
Before joining the RI, Traci was a visiting professor at the University
of Connecticut in Storrs and Wheelock College in Boston, MA. She continues
to be an adjunct faculty at Wheelock College and teaches internationally
through the Center for International Education, Leadership, and Innovation.
Her current interests are transitions across the family life cycle, program
evaluation and needs assessment, parent education training, marriage preparation,
and family dynamics and processes.

Neil F. Ravella, PhD

Neil began his clinical work as a Marriage and Family Therapist after receiving his Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences for the University of Houston, Clear Lake in 1978. In 1983 he was appointed to the Senior Faculty at the Galveston Family Institute (now the Houston-Galveston Institute). He completed his Doctoral Studies in Psychology in 1988 and was licensed as a psychologist in 1990. Neil was a founding member of the Reunion Institute and maintains a strong commitment to teaching and training.

Frankie Pérez, M.A., LMFT, is a bilingual Family Therapist at SCYFC. He holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Santa Monica, in California. Prior to living in Texas, he was the Clinical Services Director at Health Crisis Center, in Miami, Florida, over individual psychotherapy, substance abuse and family therapy programs. Pérez is a certifying trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, certified Time Line Therapist and certified Franklin Covey Life Coach. In addition to being a workshop and seminar presenter, Pérez has been a keynote speaker at various national conferences. His areas of professional interest are: relationship strategies, communication, working with couples and families, peak performance and soul-centered psychotherapy.

Welby Pinney began working with children and adolescents at The Brown
Schools, a residential treatment center in Austin. After receiving his
Masters of Science in Social Work, Welby has worked in a variety of settings,
including Dallas Child Guidance Clinic, Timberlawn Outpatient Services,
Child and Family Guidance Clinics, and Children’s Medical Center
of Dallas. Working at The Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers provides
numerous opportunities for staff to join with individuals and families
seeking support in addressing their issues of living. “This is a

Ann Reese, M.S.W., LCSW, LMFT, Advanced Clinical Practitioner

A clinician with SCYFC’s outpatient family therapy program since
1988, Ann Reese currently serves as the agency’s Director of Family
Therapy. Ann received her master’s degree in social work at the
University of Houston in 1984. Prior to joining SCYFC, Ann was with the
noted Galveston Family Institute and also worked with Children’s
Protective Services. During her career, Ann has gained extensive experience
working with families where sexual and physical abuse has occurred. She
has taught a graduate-level course in family therapy for the University
of Texas at Arlington and has served as clinical supervisor for a number
of graduate students completing their practicum programs at SCYFC. Ann
co-authored “Therapeutic Loving: Opening Space for Children and
their Families” in the Journal of Systemic Therapies and “Beyond
Family Systems – Toward Problem Systems: Some Clinical Implications”
in the Journal of Strategic and Systemic Therapies. Along with her associates
Rudy Buckman and Delane Kinney, she co-authored a chapter on narrative
therapy in a clinical social work text.

Al especially loves working with teenagers and their families. Originally
a high school teacher, Al began his counseling career in 1989 in New York
City, where he enjoyed working with families of diverse cultural backgrounds.
A perpetually curious explorer himself, Al sees counseling as an arena
for discovering new ways of experiencing ourselves and of communicating
with each other. Al joined SCYFC in 2005.

Before joining the SCYFC staff in 1998, Michael served as a staff therapist
with Catholic Counseling Services. From 1998 until the program ended in
2004, Michael worked with adolescents and their families as the bilingual
clinical staff member of the Salesmanship Club Youth Camp Family Therapy
Team. Now a senior clinical member of the outpatient family therapy staff,
he continues to work with clients in all seasons of life, while bringing
both compassion and a warm sense of humor to all of his sessions. In addition
to his work with clients, Michael is a Parent Educator for the agency
(Parenting with Love & Logic®, Parenting with Love & Limits®),
participates in the training and supervision of new therapists, and passionately
strives to unite disparate communities.

and adults in a variety of settings. For the past 10 years she had a clinical
private practice in Lewisville, TX where she provided individual, couple
and family therapy. In addition, Leticia had several contracts with local
businesses to provide counseling and organizational consultation. Her
ongoing interests include therapy, training, supervision and organizational
consultation.

Judy Swint, PhD

Formerly a teacher and tax auditor,
Judy joined the SCYFC staff as a family therapist for the Salesmanship
Club Youth Camp in 1992. She completed her doctoral dissertation while
working for SCYFC and began supervising therapists in 1996. Now an outpatient
clinician, she continues to work with individuals and families, conduct
training, and supervise practicum students. She conducts parenting education
using the Love and Logic curriculum and is certified to teach Savannah
Family Institute's "Parenting with Love and Limits." Her continuing
clinical focus is on the theory and application of solution-focused therapy.
