Job Description
Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers
Family Works Center

Title:Nurse

Reports to:  Director of Infant-Child Comprehensive Assessment Program (ICCAP)

The nurse will have the potential to work across all programs at SCYFC with primary assignment being within ICCAP. ICCAP offers an integrated family-based developmental assessment for children (and their families) birth to six years old, with behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges.   He/she will be an experienced, capable provider of nursing services with specialized experience in pediatrics and/or work with families. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide assessment of medical history and basic physical health for young children
    and families.
  2. Participate on interdisciplinary teams working with families to plan intervention
    strategies
  3. Provide feedback to families regarding health/medical issues, preventive care, etc.
  4. Consult with agency staff about incorporating health issues into program
    development for families.
  5. Assist psychiatrist in evaluations and medication management. 
  6. Provide consultation to staff and trainees.
  7. Maintain effective liaison processes with referral sources.
  8. Participate in program-sharing opportunities with others in the community.
  9. Maintain regular communication with inter-program teams.
  10. Inform supervisor of progress, successes and difficulties.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Professional Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s of science in nursing (BSN) or associate degree in nursing (ADN)
    preferred but will consider LPN or LVN with relevant experience.
  2. A minimum of two to three years clinical experience, preferably with children and
    families.
  3. Texas license in nursing.
  4. Fluency in Spanish preferred.

Family Therapist

The Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers is seeking a family therapist who is licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Psych) in Texas with three or more years of experience. Position includes caseload of therapy clients as well as opportunities to participate in a strong training program and facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups. Spanish speaking preferred. Other preferred qualifications include:  a) strong clinical background, b) history of strong collaborative relationships, c) familiarity and comfort with competency based and postmodern models of treatment. Licensed Psychologist
